Ribbon Cutting Held for Bungalow Deep Creek Lake

On Friday, February 9, the Garrett County Chamber of Commerce partnered with the Garrett County Department of Business Development to hold the first ribbon cutting ceremony of 2024 for the grand opening of Bungalow Deep Creek Lake in McHenry.

Connor Norman, Business Development Specialist and Chair of the Garrett County Diplomats, led the ceremony. Local dignitaries in attendance include Commissioner Larry Tichnell, Garrett County Chamber of Commerce Board members Patty Manown Mash and Emily Tobin, and Chamber President Andrew Fike.

Attendees congratulated owners Steven Wilburn and Shawn Fitzgerald on opening a sister store to their Palm Beach location. Fitzgerald expressed his appreciation for the support they’ve received from Garrett County Business Development and the Chamber of Commerce. Wilburn conveyed his excitement to be involved in the community and explained how their business thrives on personal relationships with their clients.

Connor Norman presented an official citation of congratulations to Steven and Shawn on behalf of Delegate Jim Hinebaugh. Garrett County Diplomats Anne Davidson, Patty Manown Mash, Connor Norman, Sarena Rodeheaver, Kristin Skeweris, Josh Slone, and Emily Tobin assisted in the official ribbon cutting.
