At its public meeting on April 1, 2024, the Board of County Commissioners of Garrett County, Maryland presented a commendation to Dalton Smith, owner of D's Eats, recognizing and celebrating the business's 5th anniversary. Also present were pit-master Bobby Smith and Susan Bennett.
What began as a food trailer and a dream in 2019, quickly became a community icon with a physical expansion to its location on South First Street in Oakland. D’s Eats has been on the road serving its local barbeque flavors at events and functions in Garrett County and the surrounding region.
