Ribbon Cutting Held for Polska Polish Pottery of Deep Creek Lake

On Friday, May 10, the Garrett County Chamber of Commerce partnered with the Garrett County Department of Business Development to hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening of Polska Polish Pottery of Deep Creek Lake.

Connor Norman, Business Development Specialist and Chair of the Garrett County Diplomats, led the ceremony. Local dignitaries in attendance include Chair of the Board of Garrett County Commissioners Paul Edwards, Manager of Business Development Kim Durst, and Chamber President Andrew Fike.

Attendees congratulated owner Arek Blazejewski and store manager Lisa Johnson on opening the store and thanked them for their investment in Garrett County.

Garrett County Diplomats Steve Bortz, and Connor Norman presented Arek and Lisa with their First Dollar of Profit and assisted in the official ribbon cutting.

Polska Polish Pottery & Gifts is a Polish family-owned business, something that makes them unique in the Polish pottery business. Originally from Lublin, Poland, members of their family moved to the United States in the 1970s.
