Allegany Garrett Titles & Settlements (AGTS) celebrated its McHenry location on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted in partnership with the Garrett County Chamber of Commerce. The event recognized the company’s continued investment in Garrett County and its commitment to serving the region.
Chamber President Nick Sharps led the ceremony, with Senator Mike McKay joining the celebration and offering congratulations to AGTS Owner Alex Rumgay and his team.
Founded more than 20 years ago, AGTS has established a strong presence throughout Western Maryland by providing title and settlement services for residential and commercial real estate transactions. The McHenry office expands the company’s local presence, offering convenient access to services for buyers, sellers, real estate professionals, lenders, and property owners throughout Garrett County and the Deep Creek Lake area.
With local businesses playing an important role in supporting property transactions and investment, AGTS adds to the professional services available to individuals and businesses operating in Garrett County. Its local knowledge is particularly valuable in a market that includes lakefront and vacation properties, as well as properties with unique considerations such as easements, wells, and septic systems.
During the ceremony, Rumgay shared information about AGTS, the company’s growth, and its ongoing commitment to serving Garrett County.
Garrett County Diplomats Kim Carter, Leah Gregg, Lucas Miller, Sarena Rodeheaver, Kristin Skeweris, and Macey Wells also attended and assisted with the ribbon cutting.
Garrett County Business Development congratulates Rumgay and the entire AGTS team on this investment in the community. Business growth and expanded professional services help strengthen the local economy and support continued investment throughout Garrett County.
