Women are one of the fastest-growing segments of new small business owners, but often lack access to funding and resources.
According to Block Advisors by H&R Block’s Small Business Resiliency Series Survey, women small business owners are still more likely to be declined for a loan than men—and the disparities are even greater for small business owners of color. This is despite women entrepreneurs driving 94% more growth than their male counterparts over the past four years.
Block Advisors recognizes this gap in funding and support for women-owned small businesses and is on a mission to break down these barriers. In June, Block Advisors will award $100,000 in grants and essential small business services to support and empower women-owned ventures.
Here's what you need to know:
- Five finalists will be chosen to receive grant funding and a year of Block Advisors' small business services.
- One lucky winner will receive a first prize grant of $50,000.
- Four honorable mention winners will each receive a grant of $12,500 each.
All winners will have access to top-notch Block Advisors services like business structure analysis, bookkeeping, payroll, tax support, and Beneficial Ownership Reporting from Block Advisors.
