The Small Business Development Center (SBDC), in partnership with the Maryland Business Opportunity Center (MBOC), is hosting an 8-session "Financial Literacy for Business Owners" training series to equip entrepreneurs with essential financial skills and knowledge to enhance their business success.
The cost is $69 per individual, and the 8 sessions will be held January 15, 16, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30 and February 5 & 6, 2025.
Led by subject matter experts, participants will explore "The Power of Finance," gaining insights into its impact on business growth. Participants will learn to navigate tax deductions, credits, and entity structures effectively, prepare compelling business loan packages, and understand the nuances of personal and business credit.
The series delves into the three key financial reports essential for monthly business management, clarifies what financial statements reveal to lenders, and highlights the importance of mastering the balance sheet for improved cash flow.
Additionally, attendees will gain insights into calculating their business's cash flow capacity and implementing cyber safety measures to protect against fraud, ensuring a well-rounded approach to financial literacy for business owners.
