Maryland MBDA Business Center to Host Inaugural Grant Symposium for Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs)

Registration is now open for the Maryland MDA Business Center's 2024 Grant Symposium, a landmark event designed to connect minority business enterprises (MBEs) and disadvantaged businesses with a wealth of grant opportunities and essential resources.

The symposium, themed "Bridging the Gap Between Minority Business Enterprises and Grant Dollars," will be held virtually on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 8 AM to 3 PM. Early registration is $75 and ends Tuesday, October 15, 2024. After October 15th, the registration fee increases to $100.

This symposium will provide access to over 100 grantors providing a unique platform for approximately 200 MBEs to access funding. Participants will also benefit from insightful panel discussions and workshops focused on the specific needs and challenges faced by disadvantaged businesses.

The symposium aims to:

  • Facilitate Access to Capital: Connect MBEs and disadvantaged businesses with diverse grant opportunities across federal, state, local, and private sectors.
  • Foster Networking and Collaboration: Connect MBEs and disadvantaged businesses with professional services, including proposal writing, grant writing, and business development strategies.
  • Empower Through Knowledge: Provide valuable information on government contracting training and curriculum.
