The Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration (MDOT MTA) Office of Local Transit Support is pleased to announce that the application period for the FY 2026 Maryland Senior Rides Program (MSRP) grant is now open. This program supports government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and tax-exempt faith-based entities in developing volunteer-based transportation services for low- to moderate-income seniors.
Application & Program Details:
- Application Deadline: April 25, 2025, by 4:00 PM
- Applications must be submitted via the MDOT MTA Grant Portal: https://mtaolts.ecopwise.com
- The grant requires a minimum 25% local match (cash only; in-kind services are not eligible)
- Eligible applicants include:
- Government agencies
- Nonprofit organizations
- Tax-exempt faith-based entities providing transportation services
The purpose of this grant program is to enhance door-to-door transportation for seniors (ages 60+) who face challenges accessing traditional transit services. Programs that primarily utilize volunteer drivers in personal vehicles will receive priority consideration.
