The newly formed non-profit organization Appalachian Farm and Food Alliance (AFFA) is seeking individuals to serve on the Board of Directors. The purpose of the AFFA is to facilitate collaboration between agricultural and food system service providers to educate the public and provide solutions for food insecurity through the creation of a resilient, sustainable, and equitable food and agriculture system across the region. We would like to have board of directors come from a wide variety of agriculture areas as well as others in the food system including restaurants, food pantries, health services, etc.

The next meeting of the AFFA will be March 26, 2024, at 6:30 PM at the Garrett County Extension Office.
