Grantsville Medical Center has grown its staff to now include three new primary care providers, Garrett Regional Medical Center has announced.
The three providers will enable the medical facility to take new patients as it works to meet the health care needs of the northern areas of Garrett County and nearby areas of Pennsylvania and Allegany County, MD.
Luis R. Colon-Mulero, MD, FABFM is a physician trained in family medicine and primary care. He joins Grantsville after working in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School, located in Worcester, MA. He has extensive experience in maternal child health, adult and pediatric emergency care, surgical post operative care, sports medicine, geriatrics, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
He performed his residency at the University of Massachusetts Worcester, serving in a multi-cultural, underserved community.
Amber Sines is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner and joins the staff at Grantsville after working at the WVU Medicine Urgent Care in McHenry. She completed her Master’s Degree in Nursing at Chamberlain University in 2023, and has extensive experience working in a skilled nursing facility as well as family practice. She has worked in Garrett Regional Medical Center’s med-surg unit and ICU.
Hannah Metz earned her Master of Science Degree in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, in 2020 from Simmons University. While at Simmons, she became a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Ms. Metz has worked with patients of all ages and has experience in diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked as a nurse in ICU. She will be joining the practice in June.
All providers will be taking new patients; starting in June, the practice will again take walk-in patients.
