On Thursday, June 12th, the Garrett County Chamber of Commerce partnered with the Garrett County Department of Business Development to hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for Deep Creek Aviation, LLC, an FAA authorized air tour operator that invites you to experience a bold new venture set to elevate access to Garrett County from the sky down.
Connor Norman, Business Development Specialist and Chair of the Garrett County Diplomats, led the ceremony, joined by Commissioner Larry Tichnell and Chamber President Nick Sharps, who shared their congratulations with Deep Creek Aviation President and Chief Pilot, Jeremy Cunningham.
The event was held at the Garrett County Airport during the Chamber's Business After Hours event for June. Guests were treated to an evening of networking, aviation excitement, and an incredible array of local flavors from Brenda’s Pizzeria, Trader’s Coffee House, Ace’s Run Restaurant & Pub, and specialty craft cocktails by Firewater Kitchen + Bar.
Airport attendant Doug Mohler provided a brief history of the Airport and its accommodations, and Garrett County Government's Communications Coordinator, Sarah Myers, spoke about the upcoming Wings & Wheels Fly-In to be held at the Airport on Saturday, June 28th.
