The Garrett County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Garrett County Department of Business Development, hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, September 25, 2025, to celebrate the grand opening of Bougie Bottoms Boutique’s new location in downtown Oakland.
The event was led by Connor Norman, Business Development Specialist and Chair of the Garrett County Diplomats. Local leaders in attendance included Commissioners Paul Edwards and Larry Tichnell; Oakland Mayor Andrew Sauder; Oakland Town Councilman Fred Gregg; and Chamber President Nick Sharps. Garrett County Diplomats Carol Calhoun, Kim Carter, Stephanie Filsinger, Julie Mead, and Norman also joined the celebration and assisted with the ceremonial ribbon cutting.
Bougie Bottoms Boutique is a locally owned clothing and lifestyle shop that offers something for everyone—women’s fashion, men’s apparel, kids’ styles, accessories, gifts, and home décor. Owner Quinn Thomas has grown the boutique into a true local success story by curating trendy, comfortable, and inclusive pieces designed to help every customer feel confident and stylish.
The new location at 114 South Second Street in Oakland features expanded floor space, making room for even more of the unique items that set the shop apart. Bougie Bottoms has built a loyal following not only in Garrett County but across the country, shipping worldwide and engaging fans through frequent new product “drops” shared on social media.
“Whether you’re shopping for yourself, your family, or the perfect gift, Bougie Bottoms is about discovering must-have pieces you won’t find anywhere else,” said Sharps. “It’s clear to anyone who walks through the door how much work Quinn has poured into this new space. Bougie Bottoms Boutique is truly a labor of love, and we look forward to seeing its continued success.”
