The Garrett County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Garrett County Department of Business Development, hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, October 3, 2025, to celebrate the grand opening of Ally Fox’s State Farm Office in Oakland, Maryland.
Located at 434 Weber Road in Oakland, the new office offers the Garrett County community a welcoming, local option for personalized insurance and financial services. Led by agent Ally Fox, the agency provides comprehensive coverage options including:
Auto, Home, Renters, and Business Insurance
Life and Health Insurance
Financial Services, including banking, investments, and annuities
With 24/7 availability by phone or text and a strong focus on building personal relationships, Ally and her team are committed to helping local residents protect what matters most—while providing the neighborly service for which State Farm is known.
“Congratulations, Ally, we’re thrilled to welcome you to the community,” said Sharps. “Even though you’re new to town, you’re already covering all the right bases and ready to be a trusted neighbor. Let’s give Ally and her team a warm welcome and a big round of applause—here’s to a future that’s secure, protected, and full of success!”
Though new to Garrett County, Ally is already embracing the community spirit—building relationships, supporting local programs, and ensuring her clients feel confident and cared for every step of the way.
The event was led by Connor Norman, Business Development Specialist and Chair of the Garrett County Diplomats. Local leaders in attendance included Commissioner Paul Edwards; Don Sincell, Mayor of Mountain Lake Park; and Chamber President Nick Sharps.
