The Garrett County Commissioners, in partnership with the Garrett County Department of Business Development, formally recognized First United Bank & Trust for 125 years of exemplary service, leadership, and commitment to the community. A Milestone Proclamation was presented to bank representatives during the Commissioners public meeting on November 18th, honoring more than a century of partnership and positive impact across Garrett County.
Commissioner Paul Edwards commended the organization’s enduring dedication to the region, stating, “First United Bank & Trust has been more than a financial institution, it has been a true community partner. For generations, this organization has invested in our people, our businesses, and our shared future. We are proud to celebrate this milestone with them.”

Through a tradition of integrity, innovation, and excellence in service, First United Bank & Trust has provided trusted financial solutions that have enriched the lives of generations of residents and strengthened the local economy.
In recognition of this remarkable milestone and in appreciation of your ongoing commitment to our community, we proudly present this Certificate of Commendation as a token of our esteem and gratitude. Congratulations on 125 years of outstanding service and continued success.”
The ceremony highlighted the essential role First United Bank & Trust has played—and continues to play—in supporting families, local businesses, and community initiatives throughout Garrett County.
