Savage Family Healthcare Opens New Primary Care Practice in Kitzmiller

Savage Family Healthcare, a new primary care practice owned and operated by Miranda and Jay Savage, officially opened its doors following a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by community leaders, local residents, and regional officials. The launch marks an important milestone for the Town of Kitzmiller, expanding access to comprehensive healthcare services in the southern end of Garrett County.

Located in the heart of Kitzmiller, Savage Family Healthcare provides a full range of primary care services, including routine appointments, chronic condition management, preventive screenings, and on-site laboratory services. The practice also offers aesthetic services, including Botox treatments, providing patients with convenient access to both wellness and cosmetic care close to home.

The ribbon cutting was formally led by Garrett County Business Development Specialist Connor Norman, who recognized the practice’s role in advancing the county’s economic and community development priorities.

During the ceremony, Kitzmiller Mayor Robert Reckart emphasized the importance of expanding local medical services. “Savage Family Healthcare fills a critical need in our community,” Mayor Reckart said. “Miranda and Jay have demonstrated a real commitment to Kitzmiller, and we are proud to welcome a practice that delivers both professional expertise and genuine care for our residents.”

Garrett County Commissioner Paul Edwards also praised the investment and its positive impact on the region. “Anytime a family-owned business chooses to grow here, it strengthens the fabric of our county,” Commissioner Edwards noted. “Savage Family Healthcare brings essential services to an area that needs them, and we are grateful for their vision and dedication.”

Miranda and Jay Savage thanked attendees for their support and expressed their enthusiasm for serving patients throughout the area. They reiterated their commitment to delivering accessible, patient-centered care rooted in family values and clinical excellence.

“Launching this clinic has truly been a community effort,” said Miranda. “We are grateful for the unwavering support we’ve received throughout this journey.”
