The Garrett County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Garrett County Department of Business Development, proudly celebrated a ribbon cutting ceremony for Mountain Laurel Medical Center’s new Grantsville location on Friday, March 27.
Mountain Laurel Medical Center, a federally qualified community health center, provides comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, with a mission to deliver high-quality, accessible healthcare regardless of a patient’s ability to pay. The organization serves the region through a network of locations across Western Maryland and nearby West Virginia, offering services that address the physical, behavioral, and preventive health needs of the communities they serve.
The new facility, located at 28 Hershberger Lane, Grantsville, MD 21536, represents a continued investment in expanding access to care in Northern Garrett County. Designed to better serve patients and support the delivery of integrated, patient-centered services, the expanded space includes additional medical exam rooms and behavioral health therapy rooms, as well as room for growth of the care coordination team with added offices and meeting space. She acknowledged the collective effort of staff, board members, community partners, contractors, and local leaders, noting that the project reflects a shared commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare in Garrett County. Dixon emphasized that the new location is the result of strong collaboration and a unified vision to better serve the community for years to come.
