The Maryland Department of Labor, in partnership with the American Job Centers, will host a series of free online workshops throughout April to support job seekers across the state. These workshops are designed to help individuals enhance their employment prospects by building essential skills and gaining practical guidance for today’s job market.
Topics may include résumé and cover letter writing, effective job search strategies, interview preparation, networking techniques, and tips for using online job portals. Some sessions may also focus on career exploration, skill development, and transitioning into new industries.
All workshops are open to the public at no cost; however, advance registration is required to secure a spot. After registering, participants will receive instructions on how to access the virtual sessions.
Attendees may join the workshops using a computer, with or without a camera or microphone, or participate via smartphone for added convenience. This flexible format allows individuals to engage from home or any location with internet access.
These workshops provide a valuable opportunity for job seekers to connect with workforce professionals, ask questions, and gain tools to succeed in their job search.
