Job seekers throughout Western Maryland will have the opportunity to connect with more than a dozen employers and valuable community resources during the upcoming George's Creek Regional Job Fair on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 12 - 2 PM at the Bruce Outreach Center, 398 Philos Avenue, Westernport.
Hosted by the Western Maryland Consortium in partnership with the American Job Center and Maryland Department of Labor Veteran Services, the event is designed to connect local talent with employment opportunities across a variety of industries while providing access to workforce development and community support services.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with employers representing manufacturing, construction, healthcare, public safety, logistics, education, and human services. Participating employers include Beitzel Corporation, Pillar Innovations, The Albers Group, LLC, Electrical Workers Local 307, the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services, Ironworkers Local 568, RAAM Logistics (Amazon Delivery), WVU Medicine, Moran Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Friends Aware, Elior at Frostburg State University Dining, MD Wellness, the Department of Juvenile Services, and several others.

In addition to employment opportunities, the event will feature a resource fair with organizations offering career training, educational opportunities, veteran services, rehabilitation programs, legal assistance, food assistance, workforce development, and flood recovery resources. Participating organizations include Allegany College of Maryland, the Department of Rehabilitation Services, Western Maryland Food Bank, Horizon Goodwill, Maryland Legal Aid, the American Job Center, Workforce West Virginia, the Maryland Veteran Employment Program, and the Western Maryland Long Term Recovery Committee.
A food giveaway will also be available on-site, helping connect community members with additional resources while they explore career opportunities.
